ODE Youth Services

The ODE Department of Youth Services contracts with districts and ESD’s to hire teachers who will provide effective and supportive education to some of Oregon’s most neglected and delinquent youth.

  • Juvenile Detention Education Program (JDEP) – Bend-LaPine SD (COIC), Douglas ESD, Klamath SD, Lane ESD, Lincoln SD, Medford SD,  Multnomah ESD, North Wasco SD, and Willamette ESD
  • Long Term Care and Treatment (LTCT) – 25 different SDs and ESDs
  • Youth Corrections Education Program (YCEP) – Harney SD, Inter-Mountain ESD, Multnomah ESD, Tillamook SD, Three Rivers SD, Northwest Regional ESD, and Willamette ESD

  1. Become TSPC licensed
  2. Apply directly through SD or ESD job postings
  3. Explain any special training you have with the following desired skills
  • PBIS or other behavior management such as Collaborative Problem Solving
  • Trauma informed care / restorative justice
  • Experience with working with disadvantaged students
