Apply for Master’s Degree

In the last term of UOTeach, you must apply via Grad Web for your Graduate Degree. The priority deadline to apply is the second Friday of the term (see Grad School schedule). We’ll be planning our own end of spring term gathering but you can find details around UO’s Commencement events HERE.

UOTeach MEd Teacher Candidates:

  • Go to https://gradweb.uoregon.edu/main/mainStudent.asp
  • Select Curriculum & Teaching – UOTeach major (NOT “Curriculum & Teacher Education”)
  • Do NOT select: any other certificates, minors, or second majors
  • Do NOT check that you complete a program thesis
  • Complete the Grad School, end of program survey (5 min)

When do I apply for my Oregon License? Not yet. In a separate process completely, we will work with you at the end of spring term to help you understand the steps for applying for your Oregon license

CTED MS Licensed Teachers:

  • Go to https://gradweb.uoregon.edu/main/mainStudent.asp
  • Select Curriculum & Teacher Education major (NOT “Curriculum & Teaching Education – UOTeach”)
  • Do NOT select: any other certificates, minors, or second majors
  • Do NOT check that you complete a program thesis
  • Complete the Grad School, end of program survey (5 min)

Applying to add an ESOL program endorsement to your Oregon License? You will need to complete the full program before you are able to submit an Oregon e-licensure added endorsement application

Your Master’s diploma information will not be fully displayed on your transcript until 30 days after the end of your final term. The 2022 Spring term officially ends on June 10th, so expect that final degree transcript to be available sometime after July 11.

If you decide to take spring term off and post-pone getting the MEd, you must complete the GradSchool’s On-Leave Request form. Regardless of the reason, Master’s students are limited to three years of on-leave status.
