Adding Endorsements

TSPC Endorsements to Preliminary Teaching License (TSPC 584-210-0030)

When possible, obtaining added subject area endorsements is beneficial to your hiring process and career. The UOTeach Mid-High study plan is structured around you obtaining licensure in your primary endorsement area with the opportunity for you to take required coursework for adding additional subject area endorsements.

Post-licensure Added Endorsement is regulated through TSPC and provides greater leeway around academic preparation but still requires that you pass the subject area NES/ORELA test and take at least one related methods course. The e-licensure application to add the endorsement(s) can be submit after becoming licensed.

It is advantageous to take a method course in at least one additional subject area if you have a foundational knowledge base for that subject area. However, Mid-High program candidates are eligible to enroll in any Mid-High methods course, regardless of academic preparation.
