Registration Summer: Elementary

Cohort 13: Summer 2021 Schedule (edited 4/15/21)

Below is the list of Summer Elementary courses. Priority registration is May 3 – 7. To register, log into your DuckWeb account and click term registration.

Common Registration HOLDS in DuckWeb:
* Grad School – pending receipt of your final degree transcript (release typical occurs in late July)
* Financial – UO has a $1,000 balance max (release upon payment)
* Health Center – requires proof of Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) immunity or an acceptable form of exception.

Summer term registration for full-time students is 5 Classes / 15 credits total. Classes & Exceptions:

  1. EDST 612: Foundations of Teaching & Learning
    UO Ed Foundations graduates are exempt from enrollment in EDST 612.
  2. EDST 620: Curricular Controversies, Literacy & Math
  3. SPED 511: Foundations of Disability 1
    Candidates who have taken SPED 411
  4. EDST 616: Language, Power & Education
  5. EDST 627: Introduction to Creating Supportive Learning Communities

Student Field Experience: 15 hours a week for 4-weeks of site based field observation and accompanying classroom management course.

* UOTeach reserves the rights to move students between sections to maintain balance in class sections.

Schedule PT (Part-Time) UOTeach courses are sequential, courses are offer once a year. Students who start full-time are able to switch to part-time but need to set up a meeting with the program director to develop an individualized study plan. Email uoteach@uoregon.edu

Candidates who have taken equivalent course work may petition for a course waiver by submitting a Grad School (credit transfer form) and a COE course waiver (request form). Include a copy of the syllabi from the course and  faculty sign-off before turning it into uoteach@uoregon.edu
