Required Testing – Secondary

Please review all Oregon TSPC required licensure testing requirements and their deadlines. Oregon accepts NES test scores from other states, see http://www.nestest.com for your subject area admission test and a listing of NES approved states. Noteworthy:

* Students on Financial Aid are eligible to submit an NES Fee Waiver form to NES prior to registering for the test. NES will provide you with a registration authorization code. Fee waiver approval is limited to one voucher every 12 months.

* NES has released an Online Proctoring (test securely from home) option for select tests (link). With just a simple check-in process—involving ID verification, face-matching technology, and a live greeter—you can test without having to travel to a test center.

*When registering for tests, be sure to request score results be sent to the University of Oregon, College of Education.

*Applicant official score reports need to be upload to your UOTeach application or emailed to uoteach@uoregon.edu

Deadlines & Delays Exit tests need to be complete by the end of May. Any delay in passing these test will lead you to a series of decisions to make. If delayed too long, there may be a delay in licensing. Which could have an effect on the start of a fall teaching position, particularly for out-of-state positions. Basically, if you plan to stay in Oregon, you can push things out further, but we still suggest taking your last test no later than mid-July.”
